Cancer Support helps diagnosed individuals, cancer survivors, and caregivers find love, fellowship and support by providing a safe place to share their feelings and challenges and learn from others who are facing similar situations. Cancer Support is a place of hope and is centered on bringing God’s hope to patients and their caregivers, family, and friends.
Our team of commissioned lay-ministers have all completed the Our Journey of Hope® leadership training in cooperation with Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Our Journey of Hope® is the first cancer care ministry training initiative of its kind. The training gives leaders an overview of the medical, emotional and spiritual elements involved in effective cancer care ministry.
Cancer Support meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 5:30-6:30pm in the Parlor in Building C.
- The importance of your personal faith to health
- The special needs of cancer patients and creative ways to meet those needs
- Prevention information
- Equipping individuals with insights into the disease and into God’s word, to help you cultivate hope.
