George K received a call about 15 minutes ago that his mother collapsed.  His brother was able to arrive at the scene a little while ago and called George to say that the situation is not looking too good.  She was just rushed to the hospital.  He is asking that we please pray for his mother.

My husband is in a lot of pain. He got cleared by his cardiologist to have surgery. We’re waiting to hear from the shoulder surgeon’s office when his surgery will be. We’re really having to step out in faith financially.

God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV). If you are doing things God’s way—giving generously and with the right motivation—then you can expect God to meet your needs. In today’s verse, notice how many times the word “all” appears. I did a little Greek study of the word “all,” and this is what I discovered: The word “all” means “all.” It’s a blanket statement. God says in this verse that he will take care of all your needs in life if you will trust him. Here’s the key question: How badly do you want God’s blessing in your life? Will you trust him with everything and choose to follow his commands, no matter what? If you live God’s way and if you give God’s way, you can expect him to multiply your seed of generosity: “He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness” (2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV)

My mom had the blessed assurance that Jesus was hers. Last night I held her hand and watched her take her last breath and leave her earthly body behind. She had no fear because she knew she was headed to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior. She is in His presence now, probably dancing, singing loudly and laughing! Her laugh was infectious and her love freely given. Every card, letter or note she ever wrote me was addressed “To my dearest, darling, daughter, Wendy Beth” I miss her so much already, but I rejoice because she is better than ever. This I know! I love you, Mom. Thank you for all you taught me and for loving me, Chris, Woody, your grandsons and our family with every inch of your being! ❤️ “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. “ 2 Cor 5:8
