On April 10th 2017, my mother, Linda Harmeling, took her last breath among us and her first breath in Paradise. Her eyes opened to the promise of God's love, the wholeness of her creation and her reward of life everlasting. Because of her trust and faith in Jesus Christ, her journey has begun with Abba Father.
She was 65 years young and leaves behind a husband of 43 years, John, three children: Shannon Harmeling (FL), Jennifer Harmeling (WI) and Captain Jonathan Harmeling of the United States Army, (West Point, NY) and a beautiful and cherished daughter-in-law, Kari Weston Harmeling. Linda also had three grandchildren, Katelynn Barreda, Brooke Barreda, and Weston Harmeling. She also has two brothers, Ron and David Potter, who reside in Israel, and a vast number of friends and an even much larger family with too many to name: the Drescher's, the Potter's, and the Harmeling's. She was the mother of Army and Navy Veterans, had a deep respect for the Armed Forces, First Responders, and our beautiful country, the United States of America. She loved the beach, horses, all of God's handiwork in nature and snow skiing.
Her celebration of life and memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale on May 8th 2017 at 1030 AM. She had requested in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Samaritans Purse. We all thank you for your fondness and love for Mom. She loved so many. Be thou at peace, Mom.
