God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV). If you are doing things God’s way—giving generously and with the right motivation—then you can expect God to meet your needs. In today’s verse, notice how many times the word “all” appears. I did a little Greek study of the word “all,” and this is what I discovered: The word “all” means “all.” It’s a blanket statement. God says in this verse that he will take care of all your needs in life if you will trust him. Here’s the key question: How badly do you want God’s blessing in your life? Will you trust him with everything and choose to follow his commands, no matter what? If you live God’s way and if you give God’s way, you can expect him to multiply your seed of generosity: “He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness” (2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV)
